Karen Warner - Sunday July 15

Hi Fellowship family,  Never blogged before in my entire life, but Pastor Dave says it’s my turn, so here it goes…  Sitting here  by the gorgeous fireplace, relaxing before dinner. Today is Sunday, and we had wonderful fellowship with people from the community, at Glacier View Bible Church, and yes, you can actually see the glacier from the church.

There was a testimony given before the service today of a girl, named Chelsea, who had just got back from a mission trip to Africa. Her testimony really touched me how she poured out her heart for the people there in Africa, and shared how God had enriched her life through this experience.

Sunday is pretty quiet at the camp, without the campers. We had a chance to use some of the camps canoes and paddle boats, etc to enjoy the waterfront of their lake.  We also got to meet a very sweet lady, Nadine, who was the wife of the founder of Victory Bible Camps. She lives on the property “up the hill” a ways. Of course you can’t go anywhere without hiking up a side of a mountain. The scenery here is gorgeous! I thought I’d be cold in Alaska, but even though it’s been in the 50’s and 60’s, I haven’t had to wear my jacket. In fact I’ve been rather hot! Hiking up hill and downhill sure gives you a workout where ever you go. I’ve been so blessed to be here, working hard with our young people, I’ve never seen how special the young people of our church  was until I got this opportunity to share this experience with them.
